Andrew H. Green Auction Worcester Massachusetts September, 2010
Martin created this film clip of Richard Oliver’s Andrew H. Green Auction in Worcester, MA in September 2010. The six session auction of 2500 lots was only a portion of the magnificent estate. Stored and never opened since and unheard of 1905, many treasures were found and offered. Martin Willis interviews the descendants John Green and his sister Lisa Buchanan. There were all sorts of Andrew Green memorabilia including his top hat and clothing, pictures, articles and more. There were presidential letters including Thomas Jefferson, Tiffany silver, period American Antiques, Civil War items, vintage clothing, antiques and collectibles of every category. The auction grossed three quarters of a million dollars. Not bad for a single owner auction and a fraction of the original estate. The auction was held at the DCU Center (Worcester Centrum) and Richard Oliver spared no expense to make it a wonderfully organized sale with a lot of publicity. httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxNHS3aFDWc
