Thanks for this interesting and informative podcast. I visited Victoria Mansion two years ago during their Christmas season, but found that the mostly contemporary holiday decorations got in the way of enjoying the historical aspect of the house. I plan to visit again someday during the summer season to experience it without those distractions. Of course I understand that the decorations are done by designers who want the exposure; but wouldn’t it be wonderful to someday see it all done up in historically accurate Victorian style?

Thank you for your comment. I would love to see one of their rooms (i.e The Turkish Room) dedicated to period Christmas decor. I am sure they would need a sponsor for this, such as an antique dealer association perhaps.
