They further discuss the state of the Western art market, what collectors may consider when buying (& selling) and much more. This is a very interesting view on this aspect of collecting and what changes when wealthy people decide to collect a genre of artworks. The competition is brutal, and things are not going to change anytime soon. Mike also cautions people who want to “invest in art” and makes some valid points about that.
